Día Universal de la Infancia

El Día Universal de la infancia, es un día dedicado a todos los niños del mundo, es un día de celebración pero también es un día de reflexión. Celebramos los avances que hemos conseguido pero sobre todo es un día para reflexionar, llamar la atención sobre la situación de los niños más desfavorecidos, para dar a conocer los derechos de la infancia y concienciar a las personas de la importancia de trabajar día a día por su bienestar y desarrollo.

En Madrid este día se celebrara con un programa de actividades durante los días 2 y 3 de diciembre, en el Pabellón de Cristal de la Casa de Campo de Madrid. El programa incluye actividades para los niños de carácter lúdico, social y educativo. En la entrada se podrá colaborar con juguetes y alimentos no perecederos en el Punto Solidario destinado a la recogida por Cáritas Madrid y Heal the World For Children, para su posterior distribución.

Universal Children’s Day

Universal Children’s Day is a day dedicated to all the children of the world. It is a day of celebration, but most importantly it’s a day to reflect upon the situation of disadvantaged children around the world, promote international togetherness, awareness among children worldwide, and improving children’s welfare. It is a day that serves as an inspirational entry-point to advocate, promote and celebrate children’s rights, translating into actions that will build a better world for Children.

Madrid es arte

Hola Qbeelovers!

Como todos saben en Qbe-e somos amantes del arte y queremos compartir esta pasión con todos ustedes. Madrid posee un sin fin museos y galerías arte, hay demasiadas cosas para ver y descubrir. Es por esto que hemos decidido hacer un listado de algunas de las exposiciones de arte que están sucediendo en la ciudad en los próximos meses y que no se pueden perder.

Queremos que se sientan inspirados por estas obras de arte y por la belleza detrás de ellas, así como nos sentimos inspirados nosotros a crear nuestros fulares, especialmente nuestra edición de artista por Paco Naranjo y a apoyar a artistas emergentes.

Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza: Picasso / Lautrec.

Esta exposición explora la relación entre la obra de los dos grandes creadores de arte moderno Picasso y Lautrec. Se presentan unas 100 obras organizadas en categorías que representan el interés que compartían ambos artistas. Fundación MAPFRE: Zuloga en el París de la Belle Époque. 1889-1914

Una exhibición que sirve de estudios de los años en París del pintor Ignacio Zuloga. La obra del artista combina un profundo sentido de la tradición con una visión plenamente moderna. Museo del traje: Exposición retrospectiva centrada en el trabajo de Pedro Rovira.

Selección de obras que cuenta con casi 250 piezas creadas por el modisto catalán entre 1948 y 1978. Entre las piezas que incluye la muestra se encuentran trajes, abrigos, vestidos de novia y complementos. Además de las piezas de costura, también cuenta con dibujos, objetos y fotografías relacionados con la moda. As everyone knows, here at Qbee we are art lovers and we want to share this passion with all of you. Madrid has endless museums and art galleries, there are too many things to see and discover. That’s why we have decided to make a list of some of the art exhibitions that are happening in the city and that you can not miss.

Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza: Picasso / Lautrec

This exhibition explores the relationship between the work of the two great creators of modern art Picasso and Lautrec. There are about 100 works organized in categories that represent the interest that both artists shared. In the sample, you can see the influence that Lautrec had on Picasso’s career. Museo del traje: The retrospective exhibition focused on the work of Pedro Rovira.

Pedro Rovira i Planas was the precursor of ready-to-wear garments at the end of the 60s and during the 70s. The selection of works that has almost 250 pieces created by the Catalan designer between 1948 and 1978. In addition to the sewing pieces, it also has drawings, objects, and photographs related to fashion.  From November 17 to February 18.

No queremos que nuestros productos tengan un impacto negativo para las personas que los crean ni en el medioambiente, por lo que están hechos a mano con una técnica artesanal llamada Batik. Batik es el arte de teñir telas, es una técnica que implica la aplicación de capas de cera en los espacios donde no desea teñir.

Por último, pero no menos importante, es nuestro compromiso con la Sociedad. Queremos retribuir y contribuir con  las personas que lo necesitan, y es por eso que estamos profundamente enlazados con un el proyecto de la Fundación El Compromiso. El Compromiso es una organización dedicada al desarrollo de las poblaciones más vulnerables y ofrece una mejor calidad de vida para las personas de estas poblaciones. Sus valores centrales son el respeto por la vida humana y el medio ambiente y en Qbe-e compartimos los mismos valores y principios. Our Commitment 

Qbe-e is more than just another clothing brand, it is not just a simple scarf or another accessory. Qbe-e has its own character and personality. Qbe-e is commitment. From the very beginning, we have committed ourselves to have a positive impact in the world we live in and our commitment can be separated into three different parts: Commitment with nature, commitment to sustainability and commitment to society.

First of all is Nature. Mother nature gives us everything we need and for that, we have to respect it. Hello October!

Hello October!

It’s officially autumn.

Even though we think Madrid hasn’t gotten the memo yet since it refuses to let go of the summer and the 30º degree weather well into the second week of October. However, just the change of month has us excited and we can’t stop thinking of all the lovely things the fall brings with it and the fashion.

Don’t take us wrong, we love summer; the beach, salty hair and the warm weather. However, there is just something special about fall, it comes with some of our favorite things: hot chocolate on a cold day, cozy sweaters and scarves, scented candles and we just cannot wait any longer!

Fall inspires us, there is nothing like staying home during the weekend, read a book or watch a movie with a hot cup of tea to keep us warm while it’s raining outside. The trees change their color and the city soon transform itself, and there is nothing prettier than El Retiro covered in orange leaves or watching the sunset from el Templo de Debod during this season.

So it is time to officially unbox the jackets (and not just say you will do it next week), and maybe wear for the first time that new jacket or sweater you’ve been dying to show off.

We know fall in Madrid can be unpredictable as the city, and that makes it trickier to find the perfect outfit, during the morning is sweater weather but in the afternoon we regret what we wore and almost die of a heatstroke. So we bring you our best solution to this problem: Layering. Pair your pants with a light or silky shirt and top it with a nice jacket or cardigan for the cold mornings all accompanied by your favorite Qbe-e scarf, of course.

 

 

Hola Octubre!

Es oficialmente es otoño.

Aunque creemos que Madrid aún no ha recibido el memo, ya que se niega a dejar ir el verano y el clima de 30º grados (ya casi en la segunda semana de octubre). Sin embargo, solo con el cambio del mes nos emocionamos y no podemos dejar de pensar de todas las cosas encantadoras que el otoño nos trae.

No nos tomes mal, nos encanta el verano; la playa, el mar y el clima cálido. Sin embargo, hay algo especial sobre el otoño, viene con algunas de nuestras cosas favoritas: chocolate caliente en un día frío, suéteres y bufandas acogedoras, velas perfumadas y no podemos esperar más!

El otoño nos inspira, no hay nada mejor que quedarse en casa durante el fin de semana, leer un libro o ver una película con una taza de té caliente para mantenernos calentitos mientras está lloviendo afuera. Los árboles cambian de color y la ciudad pronto se transforma y no hay nada más bonito que El Retiro cubierto de hojas naranjas o ver la puesta del sol desde el Templo de Debod durante esta temporada. Es por esto que es hora de deshacer oficialmente las chaquetas (y no sólo decir que lo harás la próxima semana), y tal vez estrenar esa nueva chaqueta o jersey que has estado esperando para lucirlo.

Sabemos que el otoño en Madrid puede ser tan impredecible como la ciudad misma, y eso hace que sea mucho más difícil encontrar el outfit perfecto. Durante la mañana hace frío y casi te congelas, mientras que por la tarde te arrepientes de lo que llevabas y casi mueres del calor. Así que te traemos nuestra mejor solución a este problema: Capas. QBe-e, las abejas y la miel.

Muchos a lo mejor no saben que nuestro nombre viene de las abejas y como nos inspiran en nuestra forma de trabajar y de pensar.  Qbe-e significa “Queen Bee” o Abeja Reina en inglés, y son muchos los motivos por los cuales tenemos a las abejas como inspiración y motivación en nuestro día a día.

Las abejas tienen un papel muy importante en el ecosistema; de hecho la producción de la alimentación y la biodiversidad mundial depende de ellas. Tienen una gran importancia en la biodiversidad del cultivo, tanto que un tercio de la alimentación que consumimos diariamente es producto de la polinización de abejas. 

Aparte de su importancia en el ecosistema y en la biodiversidad de los cultivos de los cuales nos alimentamos, las abejas también nos brindan uno de los mejores alimentos que existen en el mundo: La miel.  La miel de la abeja es un superalimento, producto de origen natural con una serie de propiedades excelentes para la salud. Su contenido en nutrientes es excepcional, por lo que es muy recomendable su inclusión en una dieta sana y equilibrada. Contiene fructosa, aminoácidos, minerales, ácidos orgánicos, enzimas e inhibinas, unas sustancias de carácter antibiótico. También es un gran reconstituyente gracias a su alto contenido en vitaminas A, E, K, C, B1, B2, a diversos fermentos y a otros elementos vitalizadores. Es el único alimento que contiene los 22 aminoácidos esenciales y ademas no se daña nunca.

Many may not know that our name comes from the bees. Qbe-e means “Queen Bee”  and there are many reasons why bees inspire us in the way we work and think.

Bees have a very important role in the ecosystem; in fact, the production of food and the world’s biodiversity depends on them, one-third of the food we consume daily is the product of bee pollination.

This week on Instagram we have been posting the cities that inspire us as a Brand. So we want to take this chance to talk about these magical places that make us what we are and how we have connected to them. 

These are places that we find to be unique around the world, places that transpire energy and light, places that are vibrant and unforgettable, places that make us daydream and fall in love.

New York is the epicenter for creative inspiration, its museums, the street performers, the many art galleries, the rooftops, Central Park, and basically every single corner of the city bursts with beauty and inspiration.  We use the creativity from NYC to create beautiful designs in our foulards and scarfs, we choose vibrant colors like the ones the city can offer us and shape them into unique accessories. 

Bali is a true treasure trove of natural beauty.
