Muchos a lo mejor no saben que nuestro nombre viene de las abejas y como nos inspiran en nuestra forma de trabajar y de pensar.  Qbe-e significa “Queen Bee” o Abeja Reina en inglés, y son muchos los motivos por los cuales tenemos a las abejas como inspiración y motivación en nuestro día a día.

Las abejas tienen un papel muy importante en el ecosistema; de hecho la producción de la alimentación y la biodiversidad mundial depende de ellas. Tienen una gran importancia en la biodiversidad del cultivo, tanto que un tercio de la alimentación que consumimos diariamente es producto de la polinización de abejas. 

Aparte de su importancia en el ecosistema y en la biodiversidad de los cultivos de los cuales nos alimentamos, las abejas también nos brindan uno de los mejores alimentos que existen en el mundo: La miel.  La miel de la abeja es un superalimento, producto de origen natural con una serie de propiedades excelentes para la salud. Su contenido en nutrientes es excepcional, por lo que es muy recomendable su inclusión en una dieta sana y equilibrada. Contiene fructosa, aminoácidos, minerales, ácidos orgánicos, enzimas e inhibinas, unas sustancias de carácter antibiótico. Many may not know that our name comes from the bees. Qbe-e means “Queen Bee”  and there are many reasons why bees inspire us in the way we work and think.

Bees have a very important role in the ecosystem; in fact, the production of food and the world’s biodiversity depends on them, one-third of the food we consume daily is the product of bee pollination.

Apart from their importance to the ecosystem, bees also give us one of the best foods that exist in the world: Honey.  Honey is a superfood, a product of natural origin with a series of excellent health properties. QBee Natural: La técnica Batik

Los fulares de qbe-e.com, son elegidos cuidadosamente. Los detalles cuentan, y mucho. Los tejidos como el algodón o la seda, requieren de un tratamiento especial al ser cien por cien naturales. Los colores y la impresión distan de ser comunes. La calidad y la originalidad quedan latentes en nuestros diseños.

De Bali a España, nuestros fulares recorren un largo camino empapándose así de todas las culturas por las que pasa. Nos situamos allí, entre el Sudeste Asiático y Oceanía. Bali nos aporta una mezcla de tradiciones que nos atrapan desde el primer momento. Es aquí, donde descubrimos el sino de qbe-e.com, la técnica Batik que utilizamos en nuestros fulares de seda y de algodón.

Se trata del arte del teñido de las telas. Procedente de la palabra javanesa, comunidad principal de Indonesia, “Ambatik”, cuyo significado es “tela de gotas”. Esta técnica consiste en aplicar capas de cera en aquellos espacios de la tela donde no se desea teñir. Al poder aplicar varias veces y superponer esta forma de colorear fulares, se consigue una gran variedad de matices que, finalmente, crean dibujos diferentes al resquebrajarse la cera de forma natural. Este craquelado es el principal elemento diferenciador del Batik con respecto a otros métodos.

Los materiales que se utilizan para realizar este peculiar arte van desde la parafina y cera virgen de abeja, que conforma otro de los valores base de qbe-e.com debido a nuestra fuerte conexión con el mundo de las abejas, la miel y sus propiedades. Pasando por la elección de las telas de fibra natural, como las que utilizamos en la firma, pinceles especiales como los ‘tjanting’, anilinas en polvo y, por último, el diseño o la plantilla que queramos plasmar en nuestro fular.

 

El desarrollo del procedimiento es clave para conseguir resultados increíbles. Comenzamos preparando la cera caliente (70% de parafina y 30% de cera de abeja) que producirá diferentes craquelados en función a la proporción que se utilice. Posteriormente, se prepara la anilina, se calca el diseño sobre la tela y se comienza el proceso. Añadiremos la cera, teñiremos de color y repetiremos el proceso, posteriormente, en aquellas zonas que deseamos que queden exentas de otros colores, tapándolas de nuevo con la cera.

QBee Natural: Batik tecnhique

In qbe-e.com our foulards are chosen carefully. The details matter, a lot. Fabrics such as cotton or silk, require special treatment to be one hundred percent natural. Colors and printing are far from common. The quality and originality are latent in our designs.

From Bali to Spain, our foulards go a long way and soaking in all cultures through which it passes. We travel  there, between Southeast Asia and Oceania. Bali, gives us a mix of traditions that trap us from the start. It is here, where we discover the fate of qbe-e.com, the Batik technique.

Batik is the art of dyeing fabrics. From the Javanese word, the main community of Indonesia, “Ambatik”, which means “drop cloth”. This technique involves applying layers of wax on those spaces where you do not want to dye. To be able to apply several times and this way to color overlay foulards, then you get a wide variety of shades that eventually create different drawings to crack the wax naturally. The crackle is the main differentiator over other methods.

La miel es delicada, dulce, suave… Elementos característicos de cualquier mujer. A lo largo de los años, se han ido descubriendo propiedades intrínsecas de este alimento tan natural.
